Welcome to Glockstars! The official blog of the newly formed GLK aka Glock aka Glockers aka Glockstars team so let’s introduce you to the crew:
Niker: One of the forefathers of Durban graffiti, Niker has been one of the most active artists in Durban and South Africa for over 10 years. Niker as much as being old school has always remained current and is always evolving/developing his style with the times sometimes even a bit ahead of himself especially in regards to the South African graffiti scene..
Mr.Burns: Part of the second generation of Durban writers although he has many years under his belt, Mr.Burns has really been working on his style in the last couple years and now has one of the most original styles in Poison City, Mr.Burns is a very hard working writer willing to put in the hours on walls, Mr.Burns is not one of those ‘’rock up drop my piece and duck’’ writers that Durban is known for.
Lazir: A new generation writer out of Johannesburg and currently based in Cape Town for ¾ of the year. Lazir has always been pushing his style. Many have tried euro but not many have pulled it off or even truly understood it. His style is defiently unique and often misunderstood by many means he fits well with the Durban crew. Lazir gets graffiti.
Scape: Generation X writer who spent the last 2 years in Cape Town is now based back in Durban. Scape is new to the scene but still has that initial crazed hunger to paint. He is still developing his style but if his recent work is anything to go by the future looks bright for South African graffiti. Scape also has a love for characters and has some quirky lil’ toon’s in the making.
